With a little over four months to go until the 9th MOVE Congress, we are excited to announce that the programme is taking shape and 21 speakers are now confirmed to join us in Budapest from 16-18 October 2019.

Commissioner, Vice Mayor and World Champion headline opening
Budapest is the European Capital of Sport in 2019, and will be featured at the MOVE Congress opening by Deputy Mayor Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky, who will officially welcome the delegates to the Hungarian capital. European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics (pictured left), is also a Hungarian native and will share his forecast for the future of grassroots sport as the new Commissioners take office.

Skipping World Champion Adrienn Bánhegyi (pictured above) is another prominent Hungarian who will take to the stage for an interactive skipping demonstration that will get as many people in the auditorium to “whip it, whip it good”. In a careful way, of course.

Tech-savvy keynotes to reveal how they gamified physical activity
Markos Aristides Kern is an entrepreneur who became a game-changer for squash and other grassroots racquet sports, attracting more people to the sport with his huge touch screens that take Nintendo Wii’s concept to the next level. He’ll show us how he did it.

Gino Singh (pictured right) brought the worlds of gaming, good old-fashioned storytelling and fitness together in a way that will transform your way of seeing these genres. His book Dungeons & Workouts and online TV channel Rocket Beans are designed to get screen addicts and workaholics up and moving – so expect to get drawn into his story at the MOVE Congress!
