Daniel Casas Valle

Daniel is a senior urbanist with a broad experience based on urban planning practices and academic activities. Currently, he works on various different urban design projects and planning studies; at his office Urban Dynamics in Porto/Amsterdam, at the MDT/CEAU/FAUP as a researcher, and as invited assistant professor at the Oporto Global University. As lead researcher he was involved in the project Sport in the City. This led to various projects, in The Netherlands, Portugal and France, that are based on the dialogue between public space and play, sport and physical activities. Daniel initiated and leads also the knowledge platform ´the Future Design of Streets´ that explores how streets can transform into more social and sustainable spaces.
