Kris Verhellen

Kris Verhellen studied law and management in Ghent and Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) before joining Extensa in 1990. He became one of the driving forces behind the growth of the company and initiated in 2000 the still ongoing urban expansion and regeneration projects Cloche d’Or in Luxemburg and Tour & Taxis in Brussels. Under his impulse, the real estate promotor also developed projects in Slovakia and Turkey. He became CEO in 2005, the same year he created “bright future” a social inclusion platform coaching over 100 students each year. Since July 2021, Extensa and Leasinvest have joined forces to become Nextensa. Kris is now Chief investment & development Officer in this new business combination. He is fluent in five languages and is interested in anything that makes cities thrive.
