Miel Vanhaverbeke

Miel is co-founder and managing director at IPitup, a fast-growing non-profit organisation aiming to lower the threshold to physical activity so that it becomes a part of daily life again, during all stages of life. He is the co-inventor of the activity bench, a unique all-in-one tool to develop and activate movement-friendly urban spaces. Miel has a master's degree in Physical Education and has extensive expertise in sports infrastructure, health and movement. IPitup won multiple awards and was recognised by the European Commission in 2021 as an innovative practice as regarding to promoting sports outside of traditional structures.
