Piet Van der Sypt

Piet Van der Sypt has a degree in remedial education and has 12 years of experience in the sport for good sector and as an inspirer of Flemish and Brussels Community Sport programmes. From 2009-2013 he coordinated a sport and education project in the nine largest cities in Flanders, from 2011-2014 he introduced and coordinated the StreetAction project in 23 Belgian cities and municipalities using the successful StreetGames model from the United Kingdom, and since 2014 has been a coordinator and community expert at ISB and Netwerk Lokaal Sportbeleid. He was part of the StreetGames-led European Youth Health Champions project, where he worked to identify and train youth role models in healthy lifestyle promotion. This MOVE Congress will be his last dance for his organisation and he will soon be taking on a new challenge in Flanders.
