As one of the most active conferences in the world, the MOVE Congress always practices what it preaches. This year, the coffee breaks won’t be an exception. They will be an extra opportunity to get active, with the European Fitness Badge Active Corner.
Participants who visit the European Fitness Badge Active Corner will get a taste of some of the European Fitness Badge test’s activities and learn first-hand about this new, interactive tool.
Developed by 7 European countries, the European Fitness Badge is an individual assessment of health-enhancing fitness status and awards this status on three levels: Basic, Advanced and Approved. It is also an effective instrument that sport and health organisations can use to raise awareness among the adult population in Europe about the importance of health-enhancing physical activity.
The European Fitness Badge helps to:
- motivate and support people to change their behaviour to an active lifestyle
- invite, include and commit more people to exercise, sport and physical activity
It doesn’t matter which role you play in the promotion of healthy and active lifestyles, the European Fitness Badge has something to offer you and therefore your community. Trainers, teachers, sport organisation managers and all sport for all stakeholders can all benefit from the European Fitness Badge, so you shouldn’t miss this opportunity during the MOVE Congress.
Learn more about the European Fitness Badge on our website www.fitness-badge.eu and we look forward to seeing you in the Active Corner at the MOVE Congress 2017.

When we talk about inactivity we often refer to children and adolescents, knowing that 4 out of 5 European youngsters are not active enough. Meanwhile, we rarely think of elderly people aged 60+ who, willingly or not, are often subject to problems associated with inactivity. One of the MOVE Congress workshops was dedicated to the […]
