What is EU sport diplomacy? How does it fit in the context of public and/or cultural diplomacy? What are examples of good practices in other countries’ or regions’ sport diplomacies that could help us draft effective policy recommendations at the EU-level? The Towards an EU Sport Diplomacy project will host an interactive workshop at the MOVE Congress, followed by the Promoting a Strategic Approach to EU Sport Diplomacy Flagship Event.
This is a two-part workshop that will first look at a broader international perspective, featuring insights from the US Department of State and the UK, and second at the EU Strategy on Sport Diplomacy, best practices and the role of sports events in-depth with high profile speakers from European institutions and the Belgian Olympic Committee President.
